According to the government, students in public or private schools, whether studying at school or online at home, can receive it. This one-time grant is used to fund the costs of the 2020-2021 school year.
The application period is from November 30 to January 15, 2021.
How to apply:
After opening the website provided by the government, you need to:
1. Fill in the school and Education Bureau of the child;
2. fill in the date of birth of the child;
3. Fill in valid email address;
4. Fill in bank information, including bank name, branch number and account number.
The government's system checks that the child's information is consistent with the school's records. Upon confirmation, payment will be made to the parent's or guardian's bank account. Payment will be delayed or refused if the information is incomplete or inaccurate.
You can choose e-transfer or direct deposit. The most convenient method is e-transfer. When applying, fill in the bank name, branch number and account number. If you can't provide bank information and you need to send a check, you can ask for it at the time of application, but it will take longer to collect money.
When to collect money: it usually takes 2 weeks.
One to three days after the application is submitted, parents will receive an email confirmation and get an application reference number. If you don't receive a confirmation email after the expiration date, please check the spam mailbox. Please record your child's application number for system confirmation. If a family has more than one child, the system will not pay at the same time.
